Our commitment
We want you to be confident when purchasing an Aurora Platform license. If the Software does not meet your needs, we offer a straightforward refund process within the windows set out below.
Perpetual licenses (Aurora, Aurora Assessment)
30-day money-back guarantee
We offer a full refund on any perpetual license purchase within 30 days of the purchase date, no questions asked.
Annual licenses (Aurora Continuum, Aurora Sentinel)
14-day money-back guarantee
Annual licenses carry a 14-day full refund window from the purchase date.
If you have a genuine technical issue that prevents the Software from functioning as described after the 14-day window, please contact us — we will always try to resolve the issue first. Refunds outside the 14-day window are considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
How to request a refund
Email support@selectred.com with:
- The email address used at checkout
- Your order or license key (included in your purchase confirmation email)
- For annual licenses: a brief description of the issue if you are outside the 14-day window
We will confirm receipt within 1 business day and process eligible refunds within 3 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. Depending on your bank or card issuer, funds may take a further 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
After a refund is processed
Once a refund is processed:
- Your license key will be deactivated and will cease to function
- The Software will revert to Free tier behaviour where applicable, or stop validating altogether
- You should uninstall the Software from all machines and delete any activated instances
Renewals
Annual license renewals are treated as new purchases. The refund window applies from the date of renewal payment, not the original purchase date.
If you renew in error (e.g. duplicate payment), contact us immediately and we will arrange a full refund regardless of when it occurred.
Early adopter licenses
Early adopter pricing is a discount applied at the time of purchase. Refunds on early adopter licenses follow the same terms as standard licenses — the discounted price paid is the amount refunded; there is no difference in eligibility.
What is not refundable
Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:
- The refund request is made outside the applicable window (30 days for perpetual, 14 days for annual) and no technical fault can be demonstrated
- The License Key has been shared with, transferred to, or used by a third party in violation of the Terms of License
- The account or license has been suspended due to a breach of the Terms of License
Volume and Enterprise licenses
For volume purchases (5+ seats) and Enterprise agreements, refund terms are set out in the individual purchase agreement and may differ from the above. Contact support@selectred.com for details.
Technical issues
If you are experiencing a problem with the Software and are outside the refund window, please contact support before assuming a refund is your only option. We take support seriously and will work to resolve issues promptly.
